San Diego Web Site Guru
Intro
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in our services. Who ‘we’ are: We are a small network of independent Web site developers dedicated to making our clients personal or professional Web site experience as painless as possible. Our extremely competitive rates are simply a reflection of our passion for design. We love what we do. Heck, we’d do it for free if we didn’t have to pay the bills. We also have a lot of new talent in our network of partners. Those partners are backed by long term pros. Please note that some of your design needs may be subcontracted out to our partners during the production phase. The reasons may vary, most of the time it’s because specialists are needed to perform certain functions. This is common practice in the industry and comes at no extra cost to the client.
We stand behind what we do! We work very closely with the client through all phases of construction to insure complete satisfaction with the finished product. The pre construction questionnaire and project estimate are designed to establish strict guidelines between the client and Web site developer. It is important that we clearly understand each other’s objectives before production begins. This will insure production efficiency and prevent unforeseen costs to the client.
Info and Responsibilities
General Developer Tasks
Development will be conducted using standard HTML programming language utilizing Macromedia software. New development will require a third party template which will be uploaded on the server where client can view remotely and dictate changes and content to be added.
Client Pre Production Responsibilities
Client must select a web site template for new web sites, through consultation with the developer. We recommend the purchase of a low-cost, pre-made web site template.
Client must provide all text and image content, other than those provided in the template for incorporation into the static HTML pages, unless otherwise agreed on prior to production.
Client must provide a list of all fields, such as first name, last name, desired email address, etc. that will be stored for clients contact form.
Client will obtain additional management software for creating dynamic pages if applicable.
After acceptance of estimate, and before production begins, client must pay 40% of the total estimated fees. When project reaches completion, prior to launch, client must pay the remaining fees as well as sign off on the finished product. If at project completion, the client requests any major changes not outlined in the preliminary work order/estimate, client must pay the remaining balance prior to modifications. Modifications will then be completed at the standard build rate of $40 per hour. If any modifications to the work order are made during the production phase it will affect the preliminary estimate and final payment will be adjusted accordingly.
If client requests continued maintenance and support from web developer, client will pay a maintenance rate of $40 per hour (one hour minimum). If client requires emergency same day editing, client will pay a rate of up to $50 per hour (one hour minimum). This will insure same day service. The ‘same day’ request will be addressed at the first available opportunity of the web developer. If for some unforeseen reason, (natural disasters, maladies, emergencies etc.) the request cannot be completed on the same day, the fees will revert back to the standard maintenance rate of $40 per hour, and the work order will be expedited as quickly as possible.
Payment
We accept most forms of payment. Credit card payments are accepted through PayPal. Personal checks and PayPal payments must clear before production can begin. A small processing fee and taxes may or may not apply.
